Your questions

  • What do you expect this app to do?
  • Talk me through picking a habit
  • What would make you open it tomorrow?
  • Would you pay for it? What would it be worth?

Hear what someone new notices. From the first call to your next commit.

What people need. Hear how they handle the problem today, in their own words.

How do you keep track of habits today?
Honestly, a note on my phone. I tried two apps but gave up. Too many steps every morning.

04 Talk

They book a time. You talk.

Testers pick a slot from your calendar and the session is booked, no back-and-forth. Then join from your browser: they share their screen and use your app while you listen and ask why.

After every session, the tester writes down what stood out and you add your own notes. Everything stays together on your request.

First impression

Looks calm. I thought it was a journaling app at first.

What was confusing

Not sure if I could pick more than one habit.

For testers

Your experience can shape what comes next.

You don’t need to be a designer or developer. Builders want to hear from people who’d actually use their app.

Longer sessions, harder-to-reach people

Harder-to-reach people such as a profession, a community or a power-user group.

Need someone specific? Mention it in your request and we’ll tell you if we can reach them.

Every session includes matching to your audience, a browser video call with screen sharing, your question list on screen and written takeaways. No-show? We find someone else or refund that session.

Planned

Ask a real person without leaving your editor.

We plan to build an MCP integration so you can request a user’s perspective straight from your coding tools. It isn’t available yet.

  Finding 3 testers…

Questions, answered.

Do I need a finished app?

No. A prototype, a TestFlight build, a Figma link or a clear idea all work. Tell us what you want to learn and we'll set up the conversation around that.

Who are the testers?

People who signed up to share their perspective and told us about themselves: age range, devices, the apps they use and what they're into. We match them to your request. Right now we review every match by hand.

How fast will I get testers?

Usually within a few hours of funding your request. We invite people who match your audience straight away and email you the moment someone applies. We're working on making it instant.

How do the calls work?

Testers who match your audience pick a time from your hours (or your connected Google Calendar) and it's booked instantly, or you can approve each one. At that time you both join from your browser. The tester can share their screen while they use your app, and your question list stays on screen for you.

When is my card charged?

When you fund a request. The money is held until each session happens, and the tester is paid after you both confirm the call took place.

What if a tester doesn't show up?

We'll find you someone else, or refund that session.

How do testers get paid?

$10 per completed 20-minute session, paid out through Stripe to their bank account after the call.

What do you want to ask your users?

Bring your next question. We’ll find the people to answer it.
